Peroni Nastro Azzurro Announces Second Annual MADE for Peroni Young Designer Awards

NEW YORK, July 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Peroni Nastro Azzurro, one of Italy's leading style brands and the world's number one premium Italian beer, supports some of America's most exciting emerging fashion talent with its support of the Second Annual MADE for Peroni Young Designer Awards. To celebrate its second year, the program will open the competition to talented young designers in three of the biggest fashion hubs across the country: New York, Los Angeles and Miami.

The program will kick off on September 10^th as part of MADE Fashion Week at Milk Studios in New York. The expert judging panel will include top model and style icon, Coco Rocha, acclaimed fashion designer Antonio Berardi, co-founder of MADE Jenne Lombardo, winner of last year's inaugural MADE for Peroni Young Designer Awards Nolan Bellavance and fashion editor and style expert Zanna Roberts Rassi.

This year, MADE for Peroni Young Designer Awards, the prestigious fashion design competition, will expand to young designers across three cities including New York City, Los Angeles and Miami. Fashion designers, over the age of 25 years old, are invited to submit original sketches evoking the craftsmanship, authenticity and creative excellence that are championed by Peroni around the world. The top three finalists will be flown to New York City on September 10^th, where they will have the opportunity to personally present their creative concept to the elite judging panel followed by a celebratory Peroni aperitivo event at Milk Studios. In addition, an installation comprised of the finalists' work will go on display at Milk Studios during fashion week to further introduce their talent to key players throughout MADE Fashion Week.

The recipient of the MADE for Peroni Young Designer Award 2013 will receive $20,000 from Peroni to finance the design and production phase of their first eponymous collection, under the mentorship of Antonio Berardi and Nolan Bellavance. Peroni will also provide an additional $20,000 to use towards the designer's creative vision in showing their collection at MADE Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2014 next February.
