Pet360 Names Jeffry Nimeroff as New Chief Information Officer

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa., May 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Pet360, Inc. – parent company of petMD.com and PetFoodDirect.com –announced today it has hired Dr. Jeffry Nimeroff as Chief Information Officer. Nimeroff joins Pet360 from GSI Commerce/EBAY (NASDAQ: EBAY) where he served as Head of Technology Solutions leading e-commerce implementations for companies as diverse as Toys R Us, Calvin Klein, Dick's Sporting Goods, and the NFL. As Pet360's CIO, Nimeroff will oversee all aspects of technical strategy and implementation including the next generation technology platform underlying Pet360's network of media, content, s-commerce, mobile, and community products.

Prior to GSI Commerce, Dr. Nimeroff was the President and Chief Scientist at JSN Consulting, Inc. where he consulted on digital strategy, technical architecture, and enterprise implementation for large e-commerce and multimedia companies. His clients included Universal Music Group, M&M Mars, Penn Mutual Insurance, Linkshare, T. Rowe Price and others. Dr. Nimeroff previously held executive technical positions at Bertelsmann, HotSocket, and fashion500 supporting digital media, e-commerce, and analytics initiatives. He earned his doctorate in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania, concentrating on the design of large multimedia systems.
