Peter A. Luukko Named Chairman of the Board Of Philly Sports Holdings, LLC

EXTON, Pa., Aug. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Philly Sports Holdings, LLC, an Exton-based, privately-owned holding company that operates Sports Vault and Strategic Sports Marketing, announced today that it has appointed Peter A. Luukko as Chairman of the Board, effective immediately. Mr. Luukko is also an investor in the company, founded in 2012, which specializes in distributing autographed sports memorabilia and organizing exclusive events for sports fans to meet professional athletes.

"Sports Vault Access" is expected to launch in September 2014.

Previously, he was President and COO of Comcast-Spectacor, where he was responsible for the creation of new business opportunities in the fields of facility management, sports ownership, ticketing, and food and concessions operations. He also oversaw all operations of the Philadelphia Flyers and served as a member of the NHL's Board of Governors. Under his leadership, Comcast-Spectacor's facility management operations grew from seven facilities to more than 155 by 2013.

A recognized leader in his field, Mr. Luukko received the prestigious Harold J. VanderZwaag Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Sports Management Program of the University of Massachusetts in 2002 for his accomplishments in the field of sports management. He continues to serve as an active board member with various organizations including the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Philadelphia Sports Congress, and the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation.
