PETRONAS Gas Berhad Selects Energy Solutions International for Gas Management System of Petronas Gas Transmission Pipeline project

HOUSTON, July 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Energy Solutions International (ESI) is proud to announce that together with a local Malaysian partner, they have been selected to supply their solutions for a Gas Management System of Petronas Gas Transmission Pipeline project. The project is owned by PETRONAS Gas Berhad (PGB). The proposed solution is based on an integrated set of ESI applications namely; PipelineStudio, PipelineManager, PipelineTransporter, TransactionManager and PipelineDashboard. The deployment and delivery of the solution will be led by Sedia Teguh Sdn Bhd www.sediateguh.com who is the ESI agent in Malaysia. A key success factor was ESI's proven experience and track record in the pipeline industry.

About The Project

PETRONAS Gas Berhad (PGB) provides piped gas to end users in the power, industrial and commercial sectors in Peninsular Malaysia and power plants in Singapore via its Peninsular Gas Utilization (PGU) system. The PGU pipeline system is more than 2,500 Km long and a major component of PETRONAS Gas Berhad (PGB) Gas operations. The PGU pipeline system has essentially two major inlet areas, with 3 gas source. The GMS solution is to be used for planning, simulation, gas monitoring, contract execution, monitoring, billing and reporting for sales. The solution will also integrate existing pipeline simulation modules and provides an integrated platform for data integration of operation and commercial data from existing real time systems such as SCADA, data historian systems, manual inputs and other 3rd party application.
