Phalanx Biotech Group Launches microRNA Microarray - miRBase v17

BELMONT, Calif., Aug. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Phalanx Biotech Group, a global provider of genomic products and services, launches a major update to its OneArray® microRNA expression profiling microarrays based on the latest miRBase release – Version 17.  This miRBase release represents a significant increase over Version 16 in the number of microRNA sequences with 2,406 additional mature microRNA - of which 563 represent newly verified sequences in human, mouse and rats.  Researchers using OneArray® microRNA products will benefit from more comprehensive interrogation power of validated microRNA transcripts as opposed to those using Affymetrix, Agilent or Exiqon microarrays based on older miRBase versions. The OneArray® microRNA line includes human, mouse, rat and seven major plant species - rice, corn, soybean, grapevine, Sorghum, Arabidopsis, and Brachypodium.
