Michael G. Wokasch worked in a retail pharmacy while attending the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. Following graduation in 1978, he enlisted in the U.S. Public Health Service as a pharmacist and commissioned officer. He joined Merck & Co. Inc. in 1979 as a pharmaceutical sales representative where he held a number of sales and marketing positions at that company. In 1986 Mr. Wokasch joined Miles Pharmaceuticals where he helped launch the highly successful antibiotic Cipro® (ciprofloxacin) in the U.S. Mr. Wokasch has held senior management and C-level positions at large and small pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
