Philanthropic Advisor Mia Gorman Named To ELLE's Hollywood Power List 2013

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Noted Hollywood philanthropic advisor, author, speaker, #GivingTuesday consultant and Cause Marketing expert Mia Gorman has been named to ELLE magazine's 2013 Hollywood Power List.

This year's list consisted of 28 women and ranged from Academy Award winners, like actress Jennifer Lawrence and director Kathryn Bigelow, to national figures in both media and politics, like California Attorney General Kamala Harris and Latina Magazine founder-turned-CAA agent Christy Haubegger.

Gorman, who is founder of The Gorman Group a philanthropic advisory firm headquartered in Los Angeles, is known for her work advising Hollywood stars, corporate executives, and industry leaders on how to set up charities and develop non-profit foundations. She is currently advising on disaster relief grants for the Philippines typhoon Haiyen as well as how non-profits can get the most out of the #GivingTuesday campaign that recently partnered with the United Nations.

Gorman is presently on a speaking tour educating parents about "How to Raise a Thankful Child." She works with actors, politicians, foundations, Fortune 500 corporations and CPA firms. Though the high profile nature of those who seek her services render the client list largely confidential, one example of a successful campaign that worked directly with the Gorman Group is that of President Barack Obama's reelection bid.

Every year, ELLE celebrates women in Hollywood with their Hollywood Power List and now their 20^th annual Women in Hollywood event at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.
