Phoenix has operated as a family-owned company for over 100 years, and with the appointment of Hurst, the business is now operating in its fourth-generation.
Prior to joining Phoenix, Hurst received his master's degree from North Carolina State University in Integrated Manufacturing Systems Engineering. Since joining the company as Press Room Manager in 2010, Hurst has since held the positions of Operations Manager, Vice President of Sales, and now CEO.
