Pipeline adds prize worth over $50,000 to 2014 Innovation Awards
Honoring Technology Innovators
ANN ARBOR, Mich., CHICAGO, and NICE, France, April 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Nominations are open for the 2014 COMET Innovation Awards, which provide the highest level of objective endorsement for innovations in communications and entertainment technology (COMET). The awards call attention to the technology and service providers who are impacting the way we leverage technology and communicate as a global society.
Pipeline today announced that it added a prize worth over $50,000 which includes one full year of advertising services for the winner of the "Technology Provider of the Year" category. To accommodate this new prize, Pipeline has extended the deadline for new nominees to April 17, 2014. Existing nominees can add this and other categories any time prior to the submission deadline by emailing [email protected].
The competition is open to both technology providers who develop innovations and the service providers who use them. Companies are encouraged to submit the Official Nomination Form as soon as possible to ensure adequate time for the completion of their submission.
The 2014 COMET Awards program has already achieved over 200 nominations representing over 100 companies in 10 areas of innovation. The awards are judged by senior service provider executives and key industry analysts.
"Winning a COMET innovation award provided us external and objective target-market validation at an important time in our growth," says Benedict Enweani, CEO and co-founder of Ontology. "For example, the exposure and endorsement of our innovation by leading global service providers and key industry stakeholders provided unique credibility that subsequently helped us achieve strategic deployments within T-Mobile and Vodafone group companies."
The judges and contestants come together at a red-carpet reception for the presentation of the awards and to network with the world's leading innovators.
"I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the competition; the work of those who competed truly brought innovative technologies to the forefront of the telecommunications market," said David Lindsay III, Chief Architect, BT Global Services who served on the Judging Panel for Pipeline's 2013 awards program. "It was an exceptional opportunity to have the ability to meet the finalists, discuss their work and see the technical innovators come together at the Awards reception to be recognized as the best of the best."
The reception will be held on Sunday, June 1st, 2014 in Nice, France at the five-star Le Negresco. Tickets are available to the public and participants receive complimentary tickets to the event.
