Pittsburgh's Enterprise Forum Kicks Off 2010/2011 Season With 'Tales from the Crypt' - Area Companies That Fought Back
For Western Pennsylvania's Entrepreneurs: "Learn, Share & Network"
PITTSBURGH, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Enterprise Forum (www.enterpriseforumpittsburgh.com), Western Pennsylvania's leading networking organization for entrepreneurs and professional service providers who support them, said today it is kicking off its 2010/2011 program season with an October 13th forum focused on "Tales from the Crypt" – inspiring stories of regional companies that have bounced back from adversity.
One company in the Enterprise Forum spotlight next week will be Pittsburgh's Net Health Systems and its truly remarkable story of rebounding from near death. Net Health staved off disaster and now enjoys prominence as a leader in serving more than 14,000 healthcare providers with its wound management software, WoundExpert.
Other upcoming programs in the 2010/2011 season will deal with developing a winning elevator pitch to attract investor interest, finding early-stage capital, how the internet is changing business launches, the growing role of women in executive ranks and more.

"We are eager to get our new season underway, especially with the quality and diversity of the programs we have planned," said Chris Heck, a vice president, private banking, at Fifth Third Bank who also is the Enterprise Forum's chair. "We believe this is the best slate of practical, relevant programs we have ever offered. The Enterprise Forum will play an increasingly visible role for the region's entrepreneurs."
Heck said that the mission of the Enterprise Forum is to give entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn, share and network.
"We present forums designed to help business owners and managers learn from each other, share practical knowledge and open new doors through networking," Heck said. "As the economy continues its fitful rebound from recession, it's more vital than ever to unleash entrepreneurism – our region's future depends on it. We believe the Enterprise Forum has a big role to play in doing that."
All Enterprise Forum events are open to business people, students and others with an interest in issues facing entrepreneurs. Working media may request a free media pass.
