Pivot Strategies LLC Certified as a Women-Owned Business
Designation connects women-owned businesses with companies committed to vendor and supplier diversity
MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Pivot Strategies LLC, a Minneapolis-based agency specializing in strategic communications, received national certification as a Women's Business Enterprise by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
WBENC's national standard of certification is a meticulous process, including an in-depth review of the business. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51 percent owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women. Pivot Strategies is 100 percent woman owned by founder and CEO Stacia Nelson.

According to a report commissioned by American Express OPEN, women-owned businesses are growing and now represent 39 percent of all U.S. firms – an estimated 11.6 million businesses. Nearly 13,500 of these firms are WBENC certified. However, there are fewer than 400 certified WBENC businesses in Minnesota.
By recognizing the WBENC certification and including women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations and government agencies confirm their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier and vendor diversity programs.
