Former Etsy Chief Product Officer to lead the next phase of growth for the preconstruction marketplace platform
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Oct. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- PlanHub, a leading B2B marketplace for commercial construction connecting general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in the preconstruction process, today announced the appointment of Nicholas "Nick" Daniel as Chief Executive Officer.
Daniel joins PlanHub after a tenure at Etsy, where he most recently served as Chief Product Officer, leading product strategy across the company's global marketplace. Since joining Etsy in 2014, he held roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately overseeing initiatives spanning the platform's selling tools, advertising products, personalization, and marketing technology. Earlier in his career, Daniel worked in sales engineering at Google. He holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Dayton and an MBA and Master of Information Systems from Boston University.
"PlanHub sits at the center of a massive, still-fragmented industry, and having spent over a decade building marketplace products at Etsy, I know how much value gets unlocked when you make it easier for the right customers to find each other," said Daniel. "I'm excited to work with the team to build on what they've created and bring that same product rigor to preconstruction."
Daniel will be formally introduced to the commercial construction industry at AGC of California's 2026 CONSTRUCT Annual Conference, the association's flagship event, taking place October 6–9 at the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells in Indian Wells, California. His introduction is scheduled for October 6, where he will meet with general contractors, subcontractors, and industry partners from across the state.
