Plans remain on track for auction of farmland in Hendry and Collier Counties
NAPLES, Fla., Aug. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Plans remain on track and are proceeding as scheduled for the September 17 auction of Immokalee Farm in Hendry and Collier counties, according to Murray Wise Associates LLC, which will conduct the auction in cooperation with Crosby & Associates, Inc. The auction of excess equipment, being sold in cooperation with Weeks Auction Co. Inc., will also proceed as planned on September 18.
"For some reason, we have picked up on unfounded rumors that the farm has been sold. There's no basis for such speculation, and there has been no change in plans. Interest is strong, and we anticipate a great auction," said Ken Nofziger, president of Murray Wise Associates.
The 1,151-acre farm will sell in seven tracts, with the farmland tracts ranging from 78 to 307 acres. A related equipment sale includes numerous tractors, sprayers, irrigation pumps, motors and other well maintained farm machinery. The auctions are part of Chapter 11 proceedings for Grainger Farms, Inc., Grainger Land, LLC, and SamAnn Farms, LLC.
The land auction will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17 at the LaBelle Civic Center, 481 W State Road 80, LaBelle, Florida. Auction staff will be available at the property from 10 a.m. to noon September 10 to provide detailed information and accommodate inspections of the land.
