Playboy TV Launches in Taiwan

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Playboy TV International (PTVI), a leading provider of high-quality, entertainment programming for adults, today announced that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Taiwan Chunghwa Telecom MOD (CHT MOD), Taiwan's premiere telecommunications provider and a leader in IPTV, to launch Playboy TV and Playboy HD VOD programming in Taiwan.

Playboy TV's commercial-free channel, airing in English with Chinese subtitled characters, launched today and is available to consumers 24 hours a day, seven days a week on the Chunghwa Telecom MOD IPTV platform.  MOD subscribers can order the channel (No: 360) a la carte or as an add-on channel to the Family Pack.   Playboy TV's HD programming is available through CHT MOD's video on demand platform. A press conference is scheduled for 3pm (Taiwan time) today, with Mr. Steve Smith, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Playboy TV International, and Mr. Yi-Fong Chang, Head of Digital Content of Chunghwa Telecom MOD Northern Taiwan Business Group, on hand to announce the news and answer questions.  Playboy Playmate Miss March 2009 Jennifer Pershing will also be in attendance.
