
Playhouse Auction to Benefit Vulnerable Families
CHEVY CHASE, Md., March 19, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Rebuilding Together Montgomery County (RTMC) is teaming up with a select group of the area's finest builders and architects to craft one-of-a kind playhouses as part of an exciting initiative called Rebuilding Hope: The RTMC Playhouse Project. This marks the inaugural event as 8 designers and builders bring their unique creations to life in support of helping others.
Beginning on May 1st, each of the 8 playhouses will be proudly displayed in the courtyard at The Shops at Wisconsin Place in Friendship Heights – the prestigious shopping center located on the corner of Wisconsin and Western Avenue in the heart of Chevy Chase. On May 31st, there will be an exclusive live auction reception where these playhouses will be auctioned off in support of RTMC.
In support of this initiative, RTMC is also announcing the launch of its event website, www.rebuilding-hope.org where each of the 8 playhouses can be viewed. The website serves as a one-stop-shop for all event related details including information on each of the builders and sponsors, ticket sales, additional raffle items and more.
RTMC is also launching a new Facebook page this week, (https://www.facebook.com/RTMCPlayhouses), where visitors can preview behind-the- scenes footage and imagery of the design process and get insider information about special events and promotions surrounding this exciting initiative.
