Playlist Launches AI Insights, Giving Operators a Best-in-Class Intelligence Layer, Powered by One of the World's Largest Fitness and Wellness Operating Systems

NEW YORK, Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Playlist, the parent company behind Mindbody, ClassPass, Booker, EGYM, and Kite, today announced the launch of AI Insights, a suite of AI-powered analytics features that turn the data flowing through the Playlist platform into guidance for fitness and wellness operators. Available first to Mindbody customers, AI Insights delivers plain-language recaps of weekly performance, benchmarks operators against comparable businesses in their category and region, flags the clients most likely to leave, and projects where revenue will land. AI Insights is the third AI-powered launch on the Playlist platform since July, following AI Concierge and Customized Websites.

Fitness and wellness businesses generate data across bookings, revenue, retention, and repeat visits, but making use of it takes the right questions, the ability to query the data, and time to do both. Few operators have the expertise or the hours, least of all independent owners with no one on staff to dig through dashboards, so lapsing clients go unaddressed and a soft month is often apparent only once it has closed.

AI Insights is designed to do the work of a data science team for the many operators who will never have one. Machine learning models run continuously and without prompting, reporting in plain language on how the business is performing, which clients are likely to leave, which are likely to spend more, and where revenue is projected to land. Because those models will be trained on anonymized data from more than 110,000 venues across Playlist's brand portfolio, a single-location studio will be measured against genuinely comparable businesses rather than an industry average. Clearer Visibility:

• AI-powered performance summaries turn weekly business performance into plain-language recaps of sales and utilization, with revenue broken out by class and service type, so owners see which parts of the business are earning the most. They appear first in the Weekly AI Insights dashboard, and operators can opt in to get them emailed weekly.
• Currently in beta, Mindbody's AI Assistant connects with AI Insights features, so operators can ask questions about their business or clients in plain language—like whose memberships are expiring soon—and land directly on a dashboard with the answer.

Industry-Wide Benchmarking:

• Comparative Analytics measures sales, visits, members, classes, and appointments against a customizable set of similar businesses in the same category or region. These benchmarks are set to be informed by anonymized data from more than 110,000 venues across Playlist's brand portfolio, and this feature is currently available to Mindbody Accelerate and Ultimate customers.

Revenue Protection and Forecasting:

• Clients at Risk and Big Spenders predict the two things that move revenue most: which clients are about to churn and what losing them would cost, and which are likely to become an operator's highest-value regulars. Both refresh daily on the Mindbody homepage, and either group can be segmented for targeted outreach in Attentive, the personalized SMS and email marketing tool built into the platform.
  • To date, customers using Clients at Risk have seen a 19% higher client rebooking rate than those who don't.
• Currently in beta for select US-based studios and coming later this year for international studios, the Forecasted Revenue dashboard uses machine learning to project where the month will land, flagging whether a business is tracking below, at, or above expectations.
