Pleasantville's Emanuel Lutheran Church to Host Emergency Blood Drive on Saturday, January 15 From 9 AM- 3 PM
PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y., Jan. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Emanuel Lutheran Church urges all members of the community to participate in the 2011 Annual Neighborhood Blood Drive at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 197 Manville Road, Pleasantville, NY. The event will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 9 am – 3 pm.
"We ended 2010 with a snowstorm which unfortunately closed down many blood donating facilities. It is time for the community to join together and contribute as much as possible to help rebuild our blood supplies," said Deacon Bill Bello, a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and coordinator of the blood drive.
Donors must be 16 years or older and in excellent health condition. Doctor's approval is required for donors 76 years and above and parental permission for donors under 17 years old. Volunteers are welcome to assist with calls, registration and provide services to all donors. Church Office: 914-769-1559.
