PITTSBURGH, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Plextronics, Inc. announced today it has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification.  The company was awarded this designation by ABS-QE for its compliance with quality process standards and effective quality management systems in the production and other operations related to conductive polymers and inks for use in printed electronic applications. This certification positions the company to deliver high-quality ink products to the printed electronics industry.

Plextronics' CEO Andy Hannah said, "This is a tremendous accomplishment and is directly attributable to the great teamwork of everyone in our company.  Customers around the world are demanding this level of excellence and quality as they scale-up their manufacturing capabilities and the use of our materials increases along with it. We are ready for that level of growth and our quality processes – including this certification – demonstrates our ability to deliver quality products. "

"This was important to us and our customers so we underwent a rapid and intense nine-month schedule to secure the certification.
