
Points of Light Selects Efforts to Outcomes (ETO®) Software to Support Nationwide ServiceWorks Program
WASHINGTON, Sept. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Social Solutions Global, Inc., a leading provider of performance management software for human service organizations, and Points of Light, one of the world's leading organizations dedicated to volunteer service, today announced the selection of Efforts to Outcomes (ETO®) software to support outcomes data collection, analysis and reporting for its ServiceWorks program.
ServiceWorks, powered by AmeriCorps, the Citi Foundation and Points of Light, is a three-year $10 million nationwide initiative that will use community engagement and volunteer service to help underserved young adults develop the skills they need to prepare for college and careers. ServiceWorks will provide 25,000 underserved young adults between the ages of 16 and 24 training in critical 21st century leadership and project management skills. The program will deploy 225 AmeriCorps members over the next three years, making it the largest corporate-sponsored AmeriCorps VISTA program in the country.
ServiceWorks was acknowledged by the U.S. Department of Education Secretary Arne Duncan earlier this year for aligning with President's Obama's call to create new public-private partnerships that use national service to help solve the nation's most pressing problems.
The ServiceWorks program will be delivered at 11 host sites in 10 cities across the country: Boston Private Industry Council in Boston, MA; Casa Central in Chicago, IL; Covenant House Washington in Washington, DC; Greater Miami Service Corps in Miami, FL; Jersey Cares in Newark, NJ; Public Allies, in Los Angeles and San Francisco, CA; The Door in New York, NY; United Way of Greater St. Louis in St. Louis, MO; and CitySquare and the Volunteer Center of North Texas in Dallas, TX.
Social Solutions' ETO software will serve as ServiceWorks' primary data collection and management tool across all sites. The software will be used to collect data at the point of service and track progress toward intermediate outcomes that lead to the program's ultimate goal of increasing rates of employment and educational success for young adults.
