RICHMOND, Va., May 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of National Police Week 2017, Colonial Shooting Academy wants to show our appreciation to the officers that protect and serve our communities on a daily basis. Please come join us at Colonial Shooting Academy, on Saturday, May 20th from noon – 5pm, as we honor and remember those fallen officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice; and show appreciation to those officers who are currently serving. If you are interested in a career in law enforcement, recruiters from the VA State Police, Richmond City PD, Chesterfield Country PD, Henrico County PD, Ashland PD, Albemarle PD and Hanover County SO will be on-site to speak with prospective candidates and those interested in serving their community.
Also join us for the charity "Dunk-A-Cop" event and take a "shot" at dunking a cop to benefit the Virginia Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (VA C.O.P.S.). This organization is dedicated to helping the families of police officers killed in the line of duty. Virginia C.O.P.S. helps these families to rebuild their lives and cope with their grief and loss.
