PolyAI appoints Sunil Shah as Chief Financial Officer to scale frontier dialog for enterprises and builders

Former Rapid7 finance leader & technology investor brings 20 years of experience growing software businesses

NEW YORK, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- PolyAI, the leader in frontier dialog for the enterprise, today announced the appointment of Sunil Shah as Chief Financial Officer. Shah most recently served as Senior Vice President of Finance at Rapid7, and he joins PolyAI at a pivotal moment as it opens up its Agentic Dialog Platform to more enterprises and AI builders.

As CFO, Shah will lead PolyAI's global finance organization, including financial planning, accounting, treasury, and revenue operations, and will help shape the company's capital strategy. His initial focus is investing in PolyAI's Agentic Dialog Platform to make it as accessible as possible to customers.

The appointment follows PolyAI's launches of Dialog-RSN-1, the world's fastest reasoning model for real-time complex dialog, and Wren, its in-platform agent that constantly finds ways to improve dialog agents so their performance compounds over time.

At Rapid7, he led the global finance organization spanning FP&A, strategic finance, investor relations, and data analytics, helping the company scale from $300 million to $800 million in annual recurring revenue. Before that, Shah ran strategic finance at Imperva, a global leader in data and application security, and supported the company's eventual acquisition for over $2 billion. Prior to moving into operating roles, Shah spent nearly a decade as a technology investor at firms including Surveyor Capital and Carlson Capital.
