Polymer Technology Systems, Inc. to Provide Point-of-Care Lipid Testing to Aegis Health Group's Hospital Clients

(PTS) announced a partnership with Aegis Health Group to integrate the CardioChek^® PA system into Aegis workforce wellness programs administered by health systems across the country. The CardioChek PA lipid testing system, manufactured by PTS and distributed through Hanson Medical Systems, offers immediate, on-site results for total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and glucose.

The CardioChek PA test system will be available to health systems using Aegis' employer relationship management program, through which hospitals work with local employers to improve population health. Using CardioChek allows hospitals to instantaneously collect and record biometric data at health fairs and on site at employer locations. Screening results are transmitted in less than two minutes to Aegis' health management application, OneCommunity. As a result, both patients and healthcare providers have immediate feedback about a test used to identify critical health risks on the spot.
