Portage Resources Inc. Receives Official Community Blessing for the Wuakakuy Properties, a Monumental Milestone Considering Other Major Mining Companies Face Potential Local Obstacles

LIMA, Peru, Nov. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Portage Resources Inc. ("Portage" or the "Company") (POTG-OTCQB) through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Portage Minerals S.A. reaches major milestone in obtaining community blessing on their Wuakakuy properties considering other well-known great mining companies face potential local obstacles.

On November 9, 2011 in Lima, Peru, each side met again, it was agreed upon by each party as per the local community giving their blessing to Portage due to the fact that each party shared the same vision for Wuakakuy.  The Portage Minerals S.A. Peruvian attorney has now sent all signed documentation to the Notary and all governing bodies.  Mr. Elias Garate has been working diligently over the last few months to close this community blessing and his dedication will long be appreciated.

This community blessing is especially important as Wuakakuy is located in the district of Puno, an area where community relations have been strained with the mining community over the past years.  Portage is looking forward to initiating its next phase plan in the near future for the Wuakakuy properties.
