Portillo's Restaurant Celebrates 52 Years Of Tradition With Free Cake

OAK BROOK, Ill., April 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A birthday wish has just come true for Portillo's fans, thanks to the launch of the new Portillo's Birthday Club customer appreciation program. April 2015 marks the restaurant's 52nd birthday and to celebrate, Portillo's is giving away slices of its famous chocolate cake to customers on their own birthdays.

Beginning April 27, Portillo's lovers can head to Portillos.com/FreeCake and sign up to become a Birthday Club member; parents can also sign their kids up as members. On their special day, Birthday Club members can stop by a local Portillo's restaurant to enjoy a free piece of chocolate cake, baked fresh daily at every restaurant.

Along with its authentic Chicago-style hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches, fans across the country have been buzzing about Portillo's chocolate cake for its moist sweetness and decadent chocolate frosting. While the chocolate cake recipe has never been revealed by Portillo's, it is known for being made with one special ingredient: love.
