COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In the NFL and now the Canadian Football League, Akwasi Owusu-Ansah learned the power of a team in helping individuals perform their best and reach their goals. Now, with the launch of LiveAbstract.com, he's applying those lessons in a different field – supporting new and emerging artists.
Liveabstract.com is a platform to discover, share information about artists and the art world. Users can register for free and connect with other artists, learn about and promote events, galleries, calls for submissions and share other news.
"We hope to attract all types of artists to the platform," Owusu-Ansah said. "From photography to crafts, from painters to potters, we want to help fresh, aspiring new talent and showcase popular, established artists."
Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, an avid photographer himself, said he started LiveAbstract.com as a way to connect emerging artists with each other and with art supporters.
He was inspired to create LiveAbstract.com after watching his talented friend, Ceasar Westbrook, struggle to find a public outlet for his work.
"I decided to figure out a way to give him the exposure he needed and deserved," he said. "I figured there must be a lot of other artists in the world who probably have the same problem as well."
"Most artistic ventures are solo activities. I learned that it's important to consciously build a supportive network – a team you can rely on to keep you going and help you grow in your work."
Preregistration for this virtual artistic community is ongoing. Which will officially launch this summer.
Stay tuned for more details about the LiveAbstract.com launch and for artist profiles and events.
