Powerful Documentary on Domestic Violence Will Be Screened on Dec. 7 to Kick Off 'It's Time to Talk Day'; Actress and Advocate Mariska Hargitay, 'Today' Show Co-Host Meredith Vieira to Take Part

NEW YORK, Nov. 30, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Actress and advocate Mariska Hargitay, of NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," will introduce and appear in a special screening of "Telling Amy's Story," a powerful documentary on domestic violence, on Tuesday (Dec. 7) at 7:30 p.m. at the AXA Equitable Center. Meredith Vieira, co-host of NBC's "Today" show, will serve as presenter. A question-and-answer session with leaders and advocates in the domestic violence awareness community will follow. The event will serve as a lead-in to the Liz Claiborne seventh annual "It's Time to Talk Day," on Dec. 8, a national day designed to raise awareness and spark discussion about domestic violence.
