Initiative to equip 5,000 Saint Elizabeth remote workers with GALAXY Tab S LTE devices marks Samsung's biggest mobile enterprise partnership to date in Canada
TORONTO, Jan. 14, 2015 /CNW/ - Samsung Canada, a leader in enterprise innovation and technology, today announced a landmark partnership with Saint Elizabeth, one of the largest health care providers in Canada. More than 5,000 remote health care workers from coast to coast will be equipped with powerful Samsung mobile technology, including GALAXY Tab S LTE connected tablets.
Saint Elizabeth helps 18,000 people daily across Canada delivering more than 6 million visits a year. Its team of 8,000 nurses, personal support workers and rehabilitation therapists provide services to help people live independently at home. With a culture of innovation, Saint Elizabeth will use Samsung's cutting edge mobile technology to realize exciting new virtual health and mobile health experiences.
The Samsung GALAXY Tab S LTE is packed with powerful business tools like Multi-Window capability, Ultra Power Saving Mode and SideSync 3.0. Saint Elizabeth staff will use their devices and a range of apps to connect the circle of care in new ways, from scheduling appointments to more efficiently planning and navigating routes to electronically recording patient data. Samsung's built-in KNOX system will ensure a high level of trusted data and device security. Saint Elizabeth will use Samsung's Enterprise Mobility Management partner, SOTI Inc., to help manage, control and monitor their devices.

The partnership will also provide over 500 Saint Elizabeth management and support staff with Samsung GALAXY S5 or Note 4 mobile devices that will run on the TELUS network and optimize on-the-go performance. As part of an initial pilot rollout, some of the Samsung mobile devices are already being used by Saint Elizabeth staff, with the full national deployment to follow by March 2015.
