PRA International Hosts Audio Conference on Periodic Safety Update Reports
Be Compliant and Cost-Effective
RALEIGH, N.C., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- PRA International, a leading Clinical Research Organization, will host an audio conference reviewing best practices for planning and writing Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs) on 23 March 2010 at 11:30 a.m. (EDT). PRA's risk management directors, Hemendra Misra, MBBS, M.Med, MSc, and Mark Nelson Tyrrell, B.S., R.Ph., will be the presenters.
Many countries now require pharmaceutical firms to submit PSURs for marketed drugs. Dr. Misra and Mr. Tyrrell will discuss cost-effective strategies that can help to prepare compliant PSURs. This audio conference will also review the latest regulatory, scientific and public health issues associated with these reports. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
PRA's Safety & Risk Management group offers a wide range of pre- and post-marketing safety programs that apply throughout a product's lifecycle. PRA's team of experts, with drug safety centers located in Germany, the United States and Brazil, consults with clients to provide routine and specialty pharmacovigilance services.
A pharmacovigilance physician with nearly 15 years of experience, Dr. Misra directs PRA's risk management services in Europe, Asia-Pacific and Africa. Mr. Tyrell, PRA's risk management director for the Americas, has nearly 20 years of pharmacovigilance experience in both the pharma and CRO industries. For the past 7 years, he has specialized in the strategic design and implementation of post-authorization safety surveillance.
