PRCG Launches Sports Practice With Former HBO Exec Jim Rocco

NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- PRCG | Haggerty LLC announced the hiring of Jim Rocco, formerly of HBO Sports and the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, as Senior Consultant and Director of PRCG's new sports marketing group, PRCG | Sports.
PRCG | Sports will enhance the firm's presence in sports-related fields by offering strategic public relations and marketing services to meet client needs—ranging from reputation management and positioning, to product launches and events, to individual representation of athletes and other high-profile sports figures.
PRCG | Sports will also focus on sports-related crisis communications and litigation communications, for which PRCG is known worldwide. The New York Times recently recognized PRCG for its ability to provide "sophisticated" "round-the-clock" global PR services to clients.

Jim Rocco's experience includes more than 15 years at HBO Sports, working on a myriad of sports-related issues, including boxing, football, golf and other programming. He worked with programs such as Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, On The Record with Bob Costas, Inside the NFL and Hard Knocks. Jim has also served as Director of Marketing at Barclays Center, one of the premier sports and entertainment destinations in the United States. In that role, he devised innovative sports marketing campaigns for a variety of events, including professional boxing matches and NCAA basketball tournaments.
