EATONTOWN, N.J., May 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services, Inc. (PHHC), a leader in providing home care to residents of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, raised over $1,000 on behalf of the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation (ECF) May 5, as sponsor of a Zumbathon® Charity Event.
The event, held at Lenape High School in Medford, NJ, was coordinated by Jamie Westman, PHHC's human resource specialist in its Mount Laurel (NJ) location. In addition to coordinating the event, Westman, a certified Zumba instructor, also led part of the Zumba session.
"I have always wanted to organize and host a Zumbathon Event, and thanks to both Preferred and the ECF, we were able to pull it off," Westman remarked. "It was so rewarding to see both internal and field employees from various offices come together and volunteer for such a wonderful cause!"
"We are so proud to further our involvement with the ECF," said Joel Markel, President of PHHC. "Whether it's the yearly gala or our first annual Zumbathon, it's heartening to continue fostering our connection with a foundation that gives so much to children and families in need across all of New Jersey."
