Prescription Assistance Available for Those in Need
WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Mexico Ledger in Mexico, Missouri recently highlighted a nationwide partnership that is helping uninsured and financially-struggling patients get their medicines for free or nearly free. The partnership, known as the Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA), is sponsored by America's pharmaceutical research and biotechnology companies.
The PPA provides information on more than 475 public and private patient assistance programs, including nearly 200 that are provided by pharmaceutical companies.
Thus far, the PPA has helped more than 6 million patients across America get the medicines they need. The PPA also provides information on more than 10,000 free health care clinics and has connected more than 287,000 patients with health care providers.
