- Dr. Gail C. Christopher, Vice President of Program Strategy at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Dr. Christopher is one of the nation's leading voices on racial healing, and addressing the structural bias and racial hierarchy that for centuries has shaped American society, public policy and influenced the behavior of citizens as well as civic and political leaders.
- Dr. David R. Williams, Professor of Public Health at Harvard University. Dr. Williams is an internationally recognized social scientist focused on social influences on health, including the impact of Unconscious Bias on people of color in America.
WHAT:
Did unconscious bias contribute to the death of Trayvon Martin? Unconscious bias affects people of color every day - at work, at school, in their communities. Dr. Christopher and Dr. Williams will define unconscious bias, discuss its impact and provide data and materials the media needs to report on it. The media is invited to cover this important luncheon presentation and discussion hosted by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
