President George W. Bush Receives Friends of Zion Award from Israeli President Shimon Peres
DALLAS, March 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Former Israeli President Shimon Peres made a historic visit today to the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas, to present former President Bush with the Friends of Zion Award. The honor was given to recognize President Bush's longstanding and unflagging support for the Nation of Israel and the Jewish people.
President Peres is the international chair of the Friends of Zion Heritage Center in Jerusalem, for which the award is named. This unique museum is devoted to telling the stories of non-Jewish friends and their contributions in protecting the Jewish people and establishing of the State of Israel.
