President of Sensei Enterprises, Inc. Seeks Virginia State Bar Presidency
FAIRFAX, Va., June 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On June 21st, Sensei's President, Sharon D. Nelson, Esq., filed her petition with the Virginia State Bar seeking to become the President-Elect of the Bar in June 2012, which would then make her the Bar President in the 2013-2014 year.
Thus far, Ms. Nelson is unopposed and has the support of current VSB officers and most of the members of the governing Council. If she remains unopposed, she will automatically become the President-Elect designate on October 1st.
Ms. Nelson has held offices in many legal and non-legal organizations. She is a Past President of the Fairfax Bar Association, an officer in the Fairfax Law Foundation and serves on the Virginia State Bar's governing Council and its Executive Committee. Among many other community service activities, she led three Girl Scout troops over 17 years and currently serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Abused and Neglected Children.
