Press Ganey Names Jonathan Black, Chief Operating Officer And Paul Worland, President Of Operations
SOUTH BEND, Ind., Jan. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Press Ganey Associates, Inc., a recognized leader in improving the patient experience, announced today that it has named Jonathan Black as the new chief operating officer and Paul Worland as president of operations. Black, who joined the company in 2012, brings expertise in managing operations of complex health care organizations and in integration, operational alignment, and implementation of efficiencies. As chief operating officer, Black is responsible for the overall business management, ensuring delivery of high-quality client services and solutions, and developing new growth. Worland, a 12-year veteran of the company, will continue to establish and maintain operational procedures, effectiveness, and quality control. Additionally, he will manage the business integration of Morehead Associates, a physician and employee engagement firm acquired by Press Ganey earlier this month.

Prior to Press Ganey, Black was the chief executive officer of Omnis Health, a position he held since the company's inception in 2008. Within three years, Omnis became an industry leader in the mail-order channel for blood glucose supply distribution. As CEO of Omnis, Black led the company's growth and managed its successful sale in 2011. Previously, Black held leadership roles within two innovative health care organizations, PolyMedica Corporation and Physicians Dialysis. At PolyMedica, Black co-led business development, holding direct responsibility for the evaluation and integration of more than 20 acquisitions. Additionally, in the role of vice president of operations, Black managed distribution activities and the launch of new business segments. Black is actively involved in the health care industry and serves on the Board of Governors of the Tufts Medical Center. He received a bachelor's degree from Tufts University and an MBA from Babson College with a concentration in health care and entrepreneurship.
Prior to Press Ganey, Worland served as a performance management and training consultant in the retail banking, telecommunications and pharmaceutical industries. He received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Kenyon College and a master's in applied experimental psychology from the University of Notre Dame. He also earned a Ph.D. in organizational psychology and held a faculty position in the department of psychology prior to joining Press Ganey.
