Prevo Health Solutions and Fit2beKids, Partner to Roll-Out a Sustainable Solution That Educates, Feeds and Changes Behavior With Kids in Underserved Communities

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif., Oct. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Prevo Health Solutions, a major stakeholder in Global Growables, Inc., has partnered with Fit2beKids to deliver a sustainable and scalable solution to childhood obesity. The solution includes; classroom and after-school curriculum from Fit2beKids and a Mobile Growable™ Unit (hydroponic indoor container garden) placed on location at schools, hospitals and in neighborhood parks.

The Mobile Growable Unit (MGU) grows as much as an acre of land, uses 10% of the water and produces up to 15,000 pounds of fresh, pesticide free and nutrient dense food per year at significantly lower cost than big-ag. The MGU feeds the kids and their families fresh low-cost or free leafy-greens and herbs in the lunchroom and provides a mechanism to sell the crops at farmer's markets and to local chefs. The funds are used to pay for all the expenses and any excess cash can be used to fund other school programs.
