Prevoty Announces Expansion of Leadership Team
Adds veteran enterprise software executives to drive market for Application Security-as-a-Service
LOS ANGELES, March 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Prevoty, Inc., a pioneering start-up providing Application Security-as-a-Service for enterprises, today announced that it has added two industry veterans to its leadership team.
Prevoty is designed to solve application security challenges from the inside. Prevoty uses in-app calls to access a proprietary real-time contextual and behavioral engine that secures users, content and queries without any reliance on past definitions or signatures. This allows applications to defend themselves and automatically prevent the top existing application security threats as well as future unknown threats, known as zero day attacks.
Heightened awareness of the significant threats to business from attacks at the application layer, together with the success of initial customer deployments, has set the stage for a rapid expansion of Prevoty's business. Consequently, Prevoty has added two experienced enterprise software executives to the leadership team.
Brad Murdoch has joined as Chief Marketing Officer and brings more than 25 years industry experience. Most recently, Brad was Chief Marketing Officer at Framehawk which was acquired by Citrix in January 2014. Previously Brad was co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer at Nukona (acquired by Symantec in 2012), EVP of Products and Strategy at OpenSpan and VP of Services and Operations at JBoss (acquired by Red Hat in 2006).
Richard Lo has joined as Chief Revenue Officer. Richard also brings more than 25 years of operational experience building innovative companies and delivering information technology solutions to enterprises. Richard's most recent role was as Chief Revenue Officer at Moovweb, a mobile web software company. Previously, Richard was VP of Enterprise Sales at i365, a Seagate Company. He joined i365 through the company's acquisition of MetaLINCS, where he was the VP of Field Operations. Richard was also VP of Worldwide Sales for Trigo Technologies, a leader in Product Information Management, acquired by IBM in 2004.
"The success of Prevoty deployments with our initial customers has proven that we have a valuable and timely offering," said Julien Bellanger, co-founder and CEO of Prevoty. "The time is right to take the Prevoty solution to a broader set of enterprise customers and I am thrilled to have been able to add two such experienced senior executives to the Prevoty team to help us realize our vision."
