Primary Care Plus Baton Rouge Welcomes Husband-and-Wife Physicians

BATON ROUGE, La., Dec. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Primary Care Plus recently welcomed two new physicians to the team. Doctors Kim and Vaughn Meiners, both board certified Family Physicians with nearly a decade of experience, are currently accepting new patients. With the addition of the Meiners, Primary Care Plus is now offering extended office hours (Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and same-day/next-day primary care appointments.

Drs. Kim and Vaughn Meiners completed medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and then continued their medical education at St. Vincent's Family Medicine Residency in Jacksonville, FL. Prior to joining Primary Care Plus, they spent eight years in private practice as owners of Fountain Family Medicine in Jacksonville, FL. Both Kim and Vaughn Meiners have a special interest in the management of diabetes and cardiovascular risk management. Dr. Vaughn Meiners has a special interest in men's health.

Drs. Kim and Vaughn Meiners will be offering complete preventive healthcare, including routine primary care checkups, health risk assessments, and immunizations and screening tests. They will also provide personalized diabetes counseling and a range of other primary care medical services.  Dr. Kim Meiners also performs routine GYN checkups.
