Printed Products Donated to Help HUGS and Eczema Outreach (Scotland)
MANCHESTER, England, April 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
As part of their Helping Hand programme 4imprint, the promotional items distributor, has donated printed trolley coin keyrings to HUGS and printed cotton bags to Eczema Outreach (Scotland) to help with their fundraising and awareness campaigns.
HUGS, an East Grinstead based charity helping children from birth to 18 years, will sell the keyrings to help raise much needed funds to support children with equipment as well as financial and emotional help at times of need.
With no Government or corporation funding, HUGS relies entirely on volunteers for support and fundraising to continue its work buying specialist equipment to improve the quality of life for disabled children, providing treats and happy memories to young carers and bereaved children and emotional support for teenagers affected by issues relating to alcohol, drugs and teen pregnancy.
With their biggest fundraiser to date, a Jubilee Ball planned for 1st June, HUGS are always delighted when companies donate desirable items that they can sell on to increase funding as fundraising consultant Peter Jenkins explains: "In these times of economic struggle, every one, both businesses and individuals, are watching their money, and it is so refreshing to see a company like 4imprint taking the initiative and providing charities with a lifeline like these promotional items."
Eczema Outreach (Scotland) will use their cotton bags during events for families and to give to supporters and volunteers with their material included. The charity works with children and their families providing advice and support to the 15,000 children in Scotland suffering moderate to severe eczema, 20% of whom admit to being bullied at school.
While talking to a customer sales adviser about promotional items, project manager Magali Speight was delighted when she was told about the Helping Hand programme.
"The personalised bags have really helped us to market our charitable services and build the credibility about our young group," Speight said. "The parents and volunteers who use the bags on a daily basis increase awareness of the impact of childhood eczema and several children have decided to swap their school bag for the 4imprint ones for a while!"
Speight also added that Eczema Outreach (Scotland) is always looking to make contact with new families with children with eczema. They also need volunteers to take part in a local Ambassador scheme (promoting the charity in their communities) and people to help organise events.
