1Track, Eventley, Picatic, Revenue Path Nominated
WASHINGTON, July 31, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SISO, the Society of Independent Show Organizers, an umbrella organization of 3,000 global trade shows, conferences and event owners, announced today the first class of companies that will compete in "Event Innovation Battlefield" to be held on August 6 to 8, 2013, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
"The competing companies all present viable, actionable solutions to improve event strategies," said Lew Shomer, executive director of SISO. "We are very excited to see how each will fare on the Battlefield."
Four companies, each representing breakthrough event tech or thought-leading concepts, will advance their ideas before an audience of some of the most powerful executive-level industry professionals. Following a critique and vote, only one will emerge victorious.
The companies announced today are:
- 1Track makes it easy for attendees of product-oriented trade shows to discover, capture and share interesting products at the event using their mobile devices.
- Eventley creates a unique engagement platform for business events that turns passive attendees into active fans.
- Picatic introduces crowdfunding to the event industry so organizers can test event ideas without risk.
- RevenuePath creates unique custom audiences for sponsors, exhibitors and anyone interested with a new take retargeting.
The company that dominates the Battlefield will be mentored by SISO leaders, gain access to some of the largest event industry companies, and be recognized through the SISO Website and event industry press.
