PRMA and ProMed Alliance Open Accountable Care Organization (ACO)
MIAMI, March 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Peer Review Mediation & Arbitration Inc. (OTCQB: PRVW), and its wholly owned subsidiary ProMed Alliance, are pleased to announce the initial formation of its first Accountable Care Organization (ACO) in Dade County, FL. "It will consist of approximately 10-15 primary care physicians and 15-20 specialists along with an advanced diagnostics and surgery center that will serve the ambulatory health care needs of fifteen to twenty-five thousand patients," stated Willis Hale, CEO of PRMA. This will be the first of 50 ACO's that the company plans to open over the next five years. The company has over 17,500 physicians in its network of medical consultants and intends to utilize them in this development.
"A critical foundation of ProMed Alliance's ACO is our unwavering focus on patients. We envision that our Integrated Care services will engage our patients in shared decision making about diagnostic and therapeutic options. Our Healthcare Team and Medical Enterprise Information System will ensure that our patients and providers have the right information at the point of care. We will regularly reach out to patients to help them meet their needs for preventive and chronic health care," says Hale.
"We need to bring the days of fragmented care to an end," said Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services. "For way too long the federal government has been a bystander and in some cases a barrier while others work to improve a health care delivery system that frustrates providers and fails patients."
Victor G. Soto, M.D., FACC, FASE, and FASNC, is the Medical Director of the ACO. Dr. Soto is a leading cardiologist, and has also operated an advanced diagnostic and nuclear medicine facility for the past nine years. David Hernandez will be the Managing Director, and also serves as Vice President of Business Development for PRMA. He is presently completing practice contracts with physicians in the area.
PRMA is a multi-faceted medical services business development company. PRMA's subsidiaries provide expertise in dispute resolutions, technological and innovative solutions for physician practices.
