Professional Expertise Valued In Serving Cultural Organizations
PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Managing your career in tough times requires original thinking and this month the Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia offers just such an idea.
The Council's Business On Board program provides leadership development through classroom training, a board observership and opportunities for professionals to network, broaden their skills and share their talents with non-profit arts and cultural organizations throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region.
"Business On Board training and ultimately placement on a board has been one of the most interesting and beneficial experiences that I've had, both in building my network with other business leaders and being engaged in this region's vital cultural community," says Steven N. Haas, Esq., a partner with law firm of Cozen O'Connor in Philadelphia.
Over 500 business leaders have participated in Business On Board over the last decade. Program alumni often cite the variety of cultural organizations that seek out graduates and the overwhelming need for board members who have been well-prepared to take on the challenges of board leadership.
Registration closes on Wednesday, Oct. 20 and the first training session is slated for Friday, October 29. Information and an application for the few remaining seats are available www.artsandbusinessphila.org/bob/becomeboard.asp and at 215-790-3621.
