Professional Photographers of America Announces 'Summer Photolosophy' Events

ATLANTA, June 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and its affiliates are announcing a national 'Summer Photolosophy.' The roster of events aims to raise the bar on industry standards and welcome a new generation of photographers into their creative community.

Events will be held nationwide and include workshops, master classes, business courses and exhibits hosted by some of the industry's most noted photographers. Capping off the summer is PPA's International Photographic Competition (IPC) in August. Last year's IPC attracted nearly 5,000 entries from photographers around the world.

These 'Summer Photolosophy' events invite participants to showcase their work, learn more about the business, and grow as photographers. They also push members to earn coveted merits toward PPA's photographic degrees with images worthy of PPA's elite class of photographers. Events include: iClick Expo (Des Moines, IA), Projection Sales in Your Pajamas (Atlanta, GA), Texas Summer Roundup (Kerrville, TX), Photopalooza (Fairview Heights, IL), Photo Safari (North Andover, MA), CAPTURE 2014 (Little Rock, AR), Storytelling Photography (Dallas, TX), Little Red Schoolhouse: Great Gatsby Style (Galveston, TX), and the annual International Photographic Competition (Atlanta, GA).
