The Orange County-Based Nonprofit Appoints Kristin Byrnes, MS to Lead the Organization
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Project Access, the leading provider of vital health, education and employment services to families, children and seniors living in low-income housing communities, and its Board of Directors proudly announces the appointment of Kristin Byrnes as CEO & President. Mrs. Byrnes most recently served as Executive Vice President for Project Access and officially stepped into her new position on August 2, 2010.
Mrs. Byrnes began her career with Project Access in early 2004, where she was hired to oversee the service strategy. She developed and implemented the service roadmap by creating new programs and service offerings based on the needs of residents and prospects throughout the state of California. In addition, Byrnes was responsible for the development of new business opportunities and fundraising efforts for Project Access.
Mrs. Byrnes has a proven track record of developing programs, overseeing operations, coordinating grant writing and developing business partnerships, all of which are vital for the strengthening of the organization's effectiveness. Byrnes has more than 18 years experience working in the nonprofit sector in areas such as management, organizational development, leadership, business development, operations, strategic planning, cultivating relationships, program development, and evaluation.
Kristin Byrnes received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services, with a minor in Gerontology, from La Roche College, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and she received a Masters of Science degree in Professional Leadership, with an emphasis on Nonprofit Management, from Carlow University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
