Project Access Partners With Related California to Provide Services to Low-Income Residents
Project Access, the Leading Provider of Onsite Resident Programs and Services, Offers Services to Families, Children and Seniors Residing at Pradera Apartments and Townhomes, a Low-Income Housing Community in Anaheim
ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Project Access, the leading provider of vital health, education and employment services to families, children and seniors living in affordable housing communities, has partnered with developer Related California to provide programs and services to residents of Pradera Apartments and Townhomes in Anaheim. The goal of Project Access is to help keep family members employed, children in school and seniors active.
Pradera Apartment Homes is a two phase large family affordable housing development located at 100-165 N. Citrus Ranch Road in Anaheim, California. The project consists of 146 apartments (99 2-bedroom units and 47 3-bedroom units), approximately 6,100 square feet of social service, recreation, management and maintenance space, two tot lots, three laundry rooms, and a two story subterranean parking garage. In addition, the project is in its final stages of achieving "Build It Green" certification, including a full-scale photovoltaic energy system.
The housing is designed in an innovative manner placing two townhouses above a large single story ground floor unit. This eliminates the typical interior corridor circulation often found in higher density/podium designs while orienting residents' front doors to the pedestrian spaces.
In addition to the social services program being provided by Project Access, the Anaheim City School District will be running a preschool on site.
"We are excited to provide programs and services in our onsite Family Resource Center at Pradera Apartment Homes," said Project Access CEO & President, Kristin Byrnes. "The residents will have the opportunity to utilize the Resource Center to take advantage of the comprehensive services that we offer including after-school tutoring and enrichment, employment readiness and job search assistance, English as a second language classes, community-building events, access to a computer lab and more."
"We are proud to be opening another affordable housing community in the City of Anaheim with Project Access providing services. Their approach to engaging families and providing access to high quality social services has been a key asset to several of our properties and to the overall health, stability and sustainability of the low income communities we serve," said Related California President Bill Witte.
