Prominent Plastic Surgeon Calls for Greater Public Awareness of Dangerous Back Alley Butt Injections Causing Death

MIAMI, June 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Citing the death of a woman this week at the hands of a medical fraud who injected false silicone to enlarge the woman's buttocks, prominent board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Constantino Mendieta is warning the public that such dangerous back alley procedures and associated health risks are not isolated and, in fact, are growing.

Dr. Mendieta, who has performed  thousands of surgical procedures, many of which within his specialty of gluteal sculpting, says that most illegal surgeries go unreported unless there is a death, as was the case just announced in New York where a woman died allegedly at the hands of an unlicensed 22-year-old "practitioner."
