Propaganda3 Launches "Burn The Lot" App For iOS And Android™
Game release signals major milestone for Kansas City app publisher/developer.
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Starting today, the mobile game "Burn The Lot" is available for select iOS and Android devices via the App Store℠ and Google Play™. The latest release from the Kansas City-based digital design and app publishing/development team at Propaganda3, "Burn The Lot" draws on the lore of traveling carnivals and their notorious reputation for swindling customers, but with a decidedly futuristic twist.

"Stopping interstellar carnies from taking over the galaxy is your job," reads the app's listing in iTunes. "That means finding the weapons and tactics you'll need to get the job done. Fight your way around three different planets. Collect coins that lead to better gear. Better gear leads to bigger bangs. You get the idea."
Conceptualized and incubated within Propaganda3, "Burn The Lot" represents a unique collaboration between co-creators Cameron Calder and Dan Long and the game's executive producer, Propaganda3 founder/CEO Cello Vergara.
"Our full gamut of creative and development resources were used to bring the game to life," says Vergara. "We wanted to build on our previous app release experiences and demonstrate that we have the expertise to release a property with full marketing support, including market research, web, social media, PR, email marketing and more. Game franchises aren't built overnight. This release represents us stepping up to the starting line, not crossing the finish."
For co-creators Calder and Long, "Burn The Lot" is the realization of a vision that began nearly two years ago.
"Where we landed with the game is pretty different from where we started," says Calder, who also serves as Propaganda3's creative director. "We learned quite a bit along the way about what it takes to refine an idea into something that's simple, engaging and fun."
"Our first working model of the game and its spherical, planet-based environments actually began with a Styrofoam ball and pipe cleaners serving as walls," says Long, a former member of Propaganda3 and the game's lead developer. "We needed to see it in the real world before we could create it virtually."
Additional collaboration came from Noel Selders at Substream Music & Sound Design, crafting completely custom music and sound effects for the game. As an initial promotional offer, "Burn The Lot" will be available via the App Store for free. For Android users, the game will have an initial promotional price of .99 cents.
