HEALDSBURG, Calif., Sept. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Prophet & Poet, a new boutique Sonoma County wine label recently declared "California's Hottest Cult Cabernet" by Robb Report, has launched with extraordinary critical acclaim—earning a record-breaking five 100-point scores from leading wine critics across its debut 2021 vintage.

The project is a creative and deeply personal collaboration between actor and producer Jessica Biel; her brother, writer Justin Biel; his wife, Rose Biel; vintners Chris and Ariel Jackson of Jackson Family Wines; and acclaimed winemaker Jesse Katz. At its core, Prophet & Poet is a collaborative winemaking partnership between Katz and Jackson, blending Katz's artistic mastery and technical precision with Jackson's commitment to land stewardship of some of Sonoma's most expressive vineyard sites.

The label's origins trace back to two weddings, when Katz created custom barrel-aged wines as gifts for the Biel family. Their quality inspired a larger vision—crafting wines that marry place, poetry, and personal story. Named for the archetypes of "Prophet" (Rose, a practicing shaman) and "Poet" (Justin, a writer), the label's aesthetic features handwritten wisdom meditations from Rose and Justin Biel and tarot-inspired artwork by Darren Le Gallo, designed to reflect the spiritual and creative dimensions of each wine. The award-winning packaging and bottle designs also include calligraphy by Master Penman Jake Weidmann, collector's boxes, and other branding support by DESIGNTHIS! and are inspired by Ellen Riendeau of Soda Rock Studios' original label concept and logo illustration.

Working side by side for the first time, Katz and Jackson sourced fruit from some of Sonoma's most celebrated vineyard blocks in the newly proposed Pocket Peak AVA. Crafted by Katz at his state-of-the-art Aperture Cellars facility, and blended in tandem with Jackson, these wines showcase a modern yet reverent approach to winemaking—pairing structure with soul, and tradition with expression. The result: five terroir-driven wines that offer both power and finesse, crafted with the intention of aging gracefully over decades.
