KNOXVILLE, Tenn., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Technology start-up, Gigmark Interactive, has developed proprietary technology that can transform a flash drive into a branded consumer experience while cutting costs and promoting eco-responsibility.  Gigmark has worked with companies like Philips Gardco, Universal Panasonic, Core Laboratories and others to bring thousands of catalogs, product highlights, video demonstrations and extensive functionality to customer desktops.

Gigmark's proprietary Interactive Flash Drive technology (IFD) is dynamic, pushing updated information to registered users each time they connect to the Internet.  The information is also available offline which makes it ideal for various applications.

"Gardco Lighting introduced a flash drive catalog 18 months ago," said Cheryl Fraga, General Manager with Philips Gardco San Marcos Operation.  "We've had nothing but positive feedback from our sales force and customers.  Gigmark's ability to program the flash drive to update from our web site has allowed it to go from something 'cool to something very practical as well, said Fraga.

"We're working with companies across many verticals," said Mark Myers, CEO of Gigmark Interactive.  "However, we seem to offer extra value to companies that need to disseminate large amounts of information, specifications, and manuals in a way that engages consumers, cuts down on huge printing bills, and promotes an eco-friendly environment.  This solution also allows companies to push information to consumers, rather than rely solely on pull technology," said Myers.

"We have been able to reduce our hard copy printing costs through increased used of flash drive catalog," noted Fraga.  "Gardo, and its parent company, Philips, maintain a strong commitment to sustainable business practices and Gigmark's product is a natural fit for that agenda," she said.

Gigmark's Interactive Flash Drives can be housed in unique shapes to further brand the experience.  "We've created flashdrives that pop out of dog tag necklaces, guitars, bracelets, beer bottles, cars, you name it," said Parker Frost, President of Gigmark.  "We're a technology company but we're super-focused on branding.  This is an item people are going to carry around and use on a daily basis so we want the housing unit for the flash drive to represent the client's brand," he said.
