Proxure to Donate All KeepVault April 2010 Profits to the American Red Cross for Haiti Relief
Proxure Joins the Fight to Rebuild Haiti Following the Devastating January 2010 Earthquake
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif., March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Proxure, Inc., a leading developer of information backup and synchronization technologies for consumers and small/medium businesses, today announced a humanitarian relief campaign to help the citizens of Haiti rebuild their country following the massive earthquake in January that has claimed the lives of more than 200,000 Haitians and left more than 1 million homeless. Proxure will donate all profits from its KeepVault online backup service to the American Red Cross for Haitian relief for the entire month of April 2010.
Haiti, one of the most impoverished nations in the world, has faced great difficulty in recovering from this crippling earthquake, prompting relief efforts from around the globe. Since 1994, the Red Cross has been working in Haiti and sees that while early relief efforts have been strong, the needs will continue to be urgent for some time as the rainy season will set in soon, bringing new challenges to the millions of homeless citizens of Haiti while the rebuilding effort continues.
"As the Haitian people say 'Many hands lighten the load,'" said Daniel Reynolds, Director of Marketing for Proxure. "All of us at Proxure are proud to show that the American spirit of helping our neighbors in need, ahead of profits, is alive and well," Mr. Reynolds added.
